Every Little Thing....Gonna Be Alright!

$199,750

Wow, well we are lowering the price on our home. Why you ask? As a present to you potential buyers out there, we know how hard it is to get a loan these days, how scary you might feel getting into the housing market for the first time or you are selling your own house and have tried to gift the new buyer like we so generously have. We hear ya! Now we are offering you a beautiful home at $11,000.00 less yes you read that right less than yesterday. This is guaranteed to be the lowest price this house will list so snap it up!

With so many saying about the housing market "you are crazy not to buy" "you are crazy to sell" "You are crazy to have bought a home in 2005 at the peak of the housing bubble, even though you relocated for a job and didn't want to live under the overpass on I-35 so you bought a home." I am going to tell you dear buyer you are ok, you are sane, you will enjoy living in your house and we are offering ours at a crazy cool price of $199,750.

Dazzle Coffee

Even though I welcome the addition of Starbucks, and other coffee shops in Pflugerville. I will always love my coffee from Dazzle. The coffee is great and the staff is very nice, they always remember my sons order of hot chocolate and large cookie when we go together. It was the first drive through coffee place in Pflugerville. I remember watching the construction wondering if it would be worth the wait, it seemed to take forever for the opening day. It was worth the wait! It is on Pflugerville's "Main" street per se. It is on my way from dropping off my son at Brookhollow Elementary and getting on I-35 for work.

Here is the location:
100 North 2nd Street @ FM 1825 (Pecan Street)

Staining the Fence

As you can see from the previous photo the stain on the fence really upgrades the look of the backyard.

Bike Trail in Your Own Backyard!

Open House.

Our Agent Tasha is hosting our first open house today from 3-5pm. I hand picked every blade of grass I mow/blowed into the pool out with the pool net. Note to self take hubs advice on the direction the lawn should be mowed. Note to new owner, the safety fence when up cuts down on lawn clippings in the pool.

I am attaching a photo where the safety fence is up. This is the best photo I can find at the moment.

Coffee Me...

Pflugerville has a Starbucks! Coming from Seattle and having worked in the Pike Place Market and frequenting the original Starbucks, seeing the logo is like greeting an old friend. Did you know that at the original Starbucks the logo of the siren mermaid does not have the and hair coverage.

Here is some information:
Starbucks Coffee Company
Starbuck opening on Pflugerville Parkway

Located on Pflugerville Parkway at the north side of the Wal-Mart Supercenter, Starbucks brings it's own brand of hospitality and delectable hot and cold beverages to this area. Shown here, Starbucks donates a tree to be planted in one of the City's parks...a gesture of their vision of growth in this establishment and in the community.

The Pantry.

This is one of my favorite features of the house this huge pantry. It has a built in desk or utility table. I use it to fold clothes. The washer and dryer are off to the right out of the picture, there is a door that leads to the spa, so you can use it as a changing dry off area and just hang up your suits on the rack behind the door. I keep a fluffy robe there to wrap up in after a nice spa.

New Patio Furniture..

Once again I will say why did we wait so long! Out with the old faded patio furniture from 5 years ago. This set wasn't very expensive, but it sure matches the fence color nicely and it is great to eat poolside. I had the teachers I work with and there kids over for an end of the summer semester breakfast and swim. We had a great time, I should have taken pictures. I am going to miss my job and the teachers I work with, it has been my favorite job so far, totally not in my field and I didn't make as much money but much more rewarding and fulfilling.

Hanging Out!

Day swimming is not to be forgotten either!!

Night Swimming

This is one of our favorite times to swim, very relaxing after a long hot day. The water is cooled off a bit there is sometimes a breeze and the day eases away.

Better Homes & Garden's

For a while this planter sat overgrown and weed infested. Why you may ask, because I lacked the confidence to plant a flower bed. I over thought the whole process, I went to Better Homes and Garden's website and printed out gardens and flower types, I went to Lady Bird Johnson's Wildflower garden's for inspiration. Finally when we knew we were selling the house I could not procrastinate any longer, two trips to home depot, some plants, mulch, soil, consulting with a friend, sweat and it was done. In total it probably took about 3 hours maybe a little more. I am so happy with the results. The yellow flower was originally there put everything else I picked out. Why did I wait so long? I always say that.

Iron Chef Competition

I found a picture of one of my entries in the cook off we had. I was proud of myself.

We have had so many guests at this table often there is not enough room and hubby sits on the office chair or the kids sit at the island. I have found it is not the furniture you have that makes for great memories, unlike the ads in pottery barn would like you to believe, it is just good friends, and good atmosphere, and enjoying what you have together.

Awesome Kitchen for Chef's or Those Who Like to Cook.

One of the best nights we had using our kitchen...hubby and I held a "Iron Chef" competition of sorts. We competed against each other submitted three dishes and let our son be the judge. We had a blast! We had an hour to cook and each got two burners on the stove and went at it. The "secret ingredient" was Sea Scallops. That will always be one of my favorite memories of our kitchen.

Recession Proof Austin is the Place to Buy

Austin was ranked by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the top places to buy a home. Reporter Danielle Babb based her decision on the fact that Austin and Round Rock have seen incredible job growth and stable home prices even though most of the country is in a downturn. She also cited that jobs are continuing to grow here, which is a strong factor for keeping prices stable and inventory low.

Other cities that were on the list were Mission Viejo, California, Palm Beach, Florida and Las Vegas, Nevada. Palm Beach and Las Vegas were citied because of their number of foreclosure homes in 2007 making their market on the low cost end moving back up.

Here is the Article:
The Top Places to Buy
Whether you're an investor like me or you're looking to purchase that next move up, here are my picks for the best areas to buy a home:

* Killeen, Round Rock, Austin, Texas: Killeen has the lowest average home price in any market in the nation while still maintaining quality. Round Rock and Austin have seen incredible job growth and very stable home prices despite the downturn nationwide. Jobs continue to grow here--a factor for keeping inventory low and prices stable.
* Mission Viejo, California: Mission Viejo has the lowest crime statistics in the nation. With no murders in 2007 and a low rate of violent crime, this is a good place to raise a family. Prices are relatively stable, and the job market in the nearby cities of Irvine and San Diego means there is consistent demand from job seekers.
* Palm Beach, Florida: I'm taking a risk here because this area has been pummeled by foreclosures in 2007. But there are also a lot of boomers retiring, and Palm Beach is looking mighty attractive. If you don't like this high of a risk (which translates to great prices), check out Tampa or Clearwater in the same state.
* Las Vegas, Nevada: Yes, Las Vegas has been hit hard by incoming
